Hello! I’m back with another set of colours to inspire, all found on Instagram in the feeds I’m enjoying the most. If you’re new to Instagram be sure to pop over to my page and say hello! Oh and if you’ve missed any previous colours to inspire post, here are the links:
With the clocks about to change and that spring feeling already in the air, I thought I’d look at colours that celebrate the change in season. Spring is probably my favourite season, the days are brighter, it can sometimes be a bit warmer and flowers come into bloom.
Even though these are all pictures from homemade makes I hope these can inspire you in other ways too (should you not be a crafter). Perhaps you’re looking to decorate your house this year, or thinking about buying some new furniture, or looking for a new wardrobe, I’d hope there’s something for everyone here.
Photo from Holly at hol_fox. Spring colours are all about pastels to me and I love the shades of yellow, greens and blues in this photo – plus how tasty do these biscuits look? So beautifully decorated too! I love this palette and think this could work so well in so many instances – decorating, blankets, clothing, there are a lot of options here. Holly regularly shares pictures of her bakes and amazing decorating skills, so definitely check out her feed.
Photo from Fran at fallfordiy. Fran’s Instagram feed is a thing of beauty and the way she styles her photographs is incredibly inspiring; she clearly thinks about her feed and how to co-ordinate each feed, making them instantly recognisable. These colours make me think of those warm spring days we get from time to time. I remember Easter weekend back in 2011 where it was incredibly warm and we had a family BBQ in the garden. Wouldn’t that be nice this month?
Photo from the team at molliemakes. There is something really fresh and clean about this image – the combination of pink/peach matched with the minty green shade is so scrummy, plus the addition of white and gold really brings it to life. I can’t tell you how much I love these shades. I want this in my home! Mollie Makes’ feed (and magazines) are jam packed with ideas and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Photo from Dalia at piapoirechocrochet. For a combination of colours, this is the photo for you. I can imagine this blanket being used for a spring picnic in a park and the combination used in this make really excites me. I’ve mentioned before that I’m drawn to pinks and in this make, I love the addition of both the dark and bright blue, alongside that spring green shade and peach colour. Lovely.
Which is your favourite? Any that specifically stand out? I’m on the lookout for more combinations, so shout if you see anything on your travels and I might pop it in a later post.
Thanks for reading!
