Looking for a Valentine’s day card for your loved one? Today I thought I’d share 10 cards I found on Etsy for the occasion. I love searching on Etsy and finding new sellers, so putting this post together gave me an excuse to window shop!
In the past I’ve bought from high street shops, but recently I’ve been trying to support independent designers and sellers; there are great options out there and I’ve picked 10 of my favourite for you today. So without further ado, let’s go shopping!
10 cards for Valentine’s day
“You’ll do” is from Darwin Designs and, while it’s a little passive aggressive, if you don’t like sickly sweet, cheesy cards this might be up your street. In a stark contrast Becka Griffin‘s “Brie Mine” is definitely cheesy – get it? Sorry, couldn’t resist. And finally, the dinosaur card is another card from Katie Abey that made me smile.
The Nicholas Cage card is the only card from the US but has Nicholas Cage, so I had to include it. It’s from Turtle’s Soup, who are based in Arizona. “I’ve seen you at your worst…” is from OhNoRachio and she has a great selection of Valentine’s cards available in this sweet design. It also picks out the Pantone colours of 2016.
I love the sentiment of the ‘You annoy me’ card from Bettie Confetti and the “little bit in love with you” card is from Clara and Macy. It‘s the only card in the selection that can be personalised and I really like the sentiment of this card.
Watching every episode is probably the one I’ll get for Stu, as I’ve kind of promised to watch all of Star Wars with him. I’m going to hate it, but then he did watch Downton Abbey with me so it’s only fair. This card is from Hutch and Willow, a shop I found through Facebook (I think) back in the summer; I love the designs – one of my favourites. Doodlelove‘s “I love you even when I’m really, really hungry” appealed because I just love how bright it is.
So there you have it! Do any take your fancy? All of these Etsy shops are worth checking it and I hope that this post encourages you to shop independently for your greeting cards this Valentine’s day.
Thank you for reading and enjoy Valentine’s next weekend! Stu and I won’t be spending it together, as he’s on nights, so I’m having a galentine’s day with a friend (lots of crafting ahead!).
