How has your week been? Have you managed to start your Christmas shopping yet? Last week I talked about gifts for the cat lover in your life, so this week I’m turning my attention to Chirstmas gift ideas for crafters. Crafters and creatives can take all shapes and forms so I’ve kept it fairly wide open to include paper crafters, sewers and knitters/crocheters.
In case you missed my first post, the idea is that each Friday in the build up to Christmas I’m sharing six items from a theme to help you along the way – it might be a stocking filler, a gift for a friend, or (hopefully) just give you some inspiration for what to buy.
Has this given you any ideas? To start with, who doesn’t love a bit of washi tape? Fox and Star have a really wide selection of washi tapes for all kinds of occasions and themes that I think you’ll love. As well as washi tape, the Waffleflower stamps from The Homemakery come highly recommended; I bought them a while back and use them every week in my planner – alongside lots of washi tape.
You may notice that I’m again trying to support independent shops this Christmas – Wool and The Gang‘s yarn collection is a joy to work with, Tilly and the Buttons’ patterns are bang on trend and the rotary cutter is from Sew Over It – where I had my introduction to sewing course many moons ago.
Oh and all crafters need a sewing machine in their lives! I have a purple version of this John Lewis sewing machine and it’s great to use and avoids the sewing machine fear I hear other crafters experience.
Finally – who doesn’t love colouring in? If you don’t own a colouring book, I highly recommend treating yourself to one. It’s especially fun after a stressful day at work.
See you next week for some more Christmas gift ideas. Have a good weekend!
