Let’s go shopping – Travel journals

We’re going to California in April! I am so excited and now thinking about getting myself a travel journal. We’ll be visiting lots of different places and, while I’ll take lots of photos, it’d be nice to store notes and keepsakes in one central place. Plus, when I was travelling in Europe in 2008, I always remember two Australian friends recording notes and sticking in tickets, leaflets etc. in this notebook. They must have so many memories stored in that one book.

I’ve been having a look around and so far I’ve found these four:

Travel journals

Paperchase | Notonthehighstreet.com | Fox and Star | John Lewis

The Fox and Star journal is my favourite as it has lots of lists and interesting pages, but it’s not spiral bound so I’m worried I won’t be able to stick lots of things in. The Paperchase one, on the other hand, is spiral but lacks any lists and I could stick lots of keepsakes in. It’s quite big though! The John Lewis one might be a bit too fancy for me, but I like the world map and the Notonthehighstreet.com looks similar to the Paperchase journal, though is the most expensive.

Decisions decisions! I was swinging to the Paperchase journal but it’s much too big. Are there any other places I could be looking for travel journals? I’d love some help!

Paperchase always do a travel range with different sizes and styles of travel journals but sadly it usually comes out around May time so will probably be after your trip. One thing that paperchase used to do are spiral bound notebooks with clear pockets, pages with envelopes on them for tickets/photos, if you haven’t pop in and have a look through them all. Out of the ones above I like the fox and star one.

Ah, good idea! I’ll have a look and see if that’ll do the job. Gotta say, I love the Fox and Star one for all the cute pages and lists. Ooo I didn’t know you were blogging. 🙂 xx

Oooo that could work. Worried it might be too flimsy, but the reviews are pretty good. 🙂
